These data, produced by the pharmaceutical industry itself, show the influence of the large multinationals in the sector (10 American and 8 European among the top 20, adding up to almost 500 billion dollars of revenue), the contribution of their flagship medicines to their total revenue and the type of pathologies they treat (cancer: 8.8% of revenue, diabetes: 5%).
